Spaghetti Carbonara

Another easy dish that’s rich in flavor.  It’s almost as simple as boiling water and with mix and match ingredients the whole family will be satisfied.

Serves 4

1 Package Spaghetti Noodles

1 C Heavy Whipping Cream

1 Large Egg

Fresh Parsley, about 1/2 C, chopped

1 1/2 Cloves Garlic, minced

1/2 C Parmesan Cheese, Shredded

Salt and Pepper to taste

Optional:

5 Strips Bacon, fully cooked

3/4 C Onion, diced, browned

1 C Peas, heated

Bring water to a boil and add spaghetti noodles.  In a 2 cup measuring cup add 1 cup heavy whipping cream, egg, parsley and salt and pepper, stir until combined.  Cook bacon fully and once cooled chop into small pieces.  Heat peas in a small saucepan until cooked per packaged directions, drain.  Cook onion in a small skillet with olive oil until translucent and slightly crispy.  When pasta is fully cooked drain and add a few noodles to the whipping cream in order to tempur it.  Then add all of whipping cream mixture, parmesan and garlic to noodles in pan and stir.  Serve as is or add any or all of the optional toppings.
