I grew up in Lexington, KY with a little Nashville thrown in there for good measure. My background is in the Thoroughbred Horse business which is mainly due to the fact that my self-employed parents live for horses and in Lexington it’s a good knowledge to have. What really interests me though is creating, whether it be art, cooking, or gardening, you name it if it gets my hands dirty I love it. My friends are always asking me how to make things or if I could make things for them, they always request recipes from me from my constant facebook posts of my dinners and my Pinterest is pretty well followed, this all led to people saying why don’t you just blog? On top of that I lead a pretty hectic life. I have a day job as an office manager that’s the boring part of my being, other than that I am a photographer, an artist and a social butterfly. My mother says that if she didn’t birth me herself she would think I was the love child of Martha Stewart and Mick Jager, which should give you an idea of the variety of posts I put up. Hence the beginning of this blog, it is my hope that you will enjoy my journey that I am recording and also learn something from me, whether it be from lessons I post or mistakes I make, which won’t be few and far between I’m sure! I was lucky enough to grow up around people and resources such as my Grandmother teaching me all things 1950′s or my mother teaching me how to cook before I could talk, so hopefully this will be a resource for you and inspire you to utilize that knowledge I’ve fostered. I’m sure my altar ego’s of domestic goddess and my drinking debaucheries self will reflect in all my posts so while they may seem unconventional or a little crazy to some I hope you come to love my upside down world and join me down the rabbit hole for the ride that is my life.
